Enter your wines before December 9, 2022 to save. Deadline approaching.

The clock is well and truly ticking for anyone looking to enter their wines into the sixth annual London Wine Competition which closes its early bird pricing on December 9, 2022

There are many ways to assess a wine, from the scientific analysis that takes place at a winery, to the systematic approach to wine tasting taught by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. But for the organizers behind the first London Wine Competition, it is ultimately about judging products on how drinkable they are.

All 3 competition judges are strictly trade only, or master’s of wine or master sommeliers.

What makes the LWC different

Every judge has been currently employed in a front line job in the wine industry and where possible has direct buying responsibility or be involved in commercial decision making. Each panel of judges has at least one MW or MS judge and a female judge as part of their judging team.

The competition gets international outreach due to Beverage Trade Network’s international trade presence.

Medal winners have the opportunity of being featured and promoted on the London Drinks Guide, a dedicated editorial platform set up to support the producers, importers, and distributors that enter the London Competition. The entrants get shelf-talkers, tasting notes at no cost as valuable feedback. Entrants can also see their score breakdown by Quality, Value, and Package.
