Chris Howells has dedicated a large part of his adult life to the humble grape. As an avid wine collector, multiple wine judge, Certified WSET 3 with distinction and occasional writer-columnist for a number of drink & hospitality magazines as well as his own publications on social media channels, he is making wine his life’s work.

His entrepreneurial spirit has driven him to be a curator of wine experiences whilst being a co-owner of a small wine bar franchise located in the U.K.

In his work as a Wine Communicator, Buyer, Judge, Educator and Wine Writer, Chris brings to life his love of wine in a way that is exciting and slightly “alternative”. He has a flair for making wine fun and understandable, sharing his passion for the vine.

Chris is due to become a commercial director at MUST Wine where they already hold wine bars in Hampstead heath, Islington, St. Albans and Wanstead,  alongside Mike Nuttall the CEO and is helping to expand the company to its 5th venue and hopefully beyond, the skies the limit!

Having visited countless vineyards across three continents, Chris’s wine knowledge is vast, but also stays close to its roots about keeping wine, fun, simple and accessible for everyone. He truly believes there is a wine out there for everyone, and he will happily help them find it.

Chris looks for a good story; learning the history of the winemaker, the winery and the region is one of the most fascinating things about wine for him. A good glass of wine should transcend from being a drink to taking you on a journey to a specific time and place.
